In July 2017 SSI Services Bid Manager, Gemma Fincher-Adams took on a 100km ultra marathon across the iconic Ridgeway Path, raising £2,520 in the process. This total was achieved in part due to a £600 company donation from SSI Services.
During the first week of October South Staffordshire Plc CEO Adrian Page was delighted to present a cheque to each charity that benefitted from Gemma (and her training partner Nick’s) fundraising efforts.
On Tuesday 3rd October, Epilepsy Action representative Will Butterworth visited us at South Staffordshire Plc head office in Green Lane, Walsall for the presentation of the cheque.
On Friday 6th October Gemma and Adrian visited Birmingham Children’s Hospital to present their cheque of £1265.67. They were given a tour of the hospital, which enabled them to see first-hand where the much needed funds would be spent. Funding from the charity helps to enable medical teams to explore new ideas, techniques and treatments which will help to save and improve young lives.

Through fundraising, the hospital are able to do more for sick children by funding the most advanced medical equipment and supporting ground-breaking medical and nursing techniques. Donations are helping the hospital to develop their services to provide children and young people with the highest quality care across a range of medical specialities.
