SSI launches new CSR Initiative!

You may remember for the past two years SSI Services has supported individuals in the division in fundraising and undertaking charitable challenging activities for charitable causes. It was great to see many of you applying and taking the opportunity to support charities across the United Kingdom. We saw marathons, skydives, cycling challenges and even MMA Fighting.

In the process to be relevant in our local communities, the business is not new to working with schools. in 2017, we successfully started a school partnership initiative which involved providing students with work experience opportunities and sponsorship of kits.

The new initiative

Building on previous success this year we have launched a new environmental initiative. If your local primary school has a gardening club or you live near a community garden; you could nominate these sites to receive a donation of trees, shrubs or bushes courtesy of SSI Services. By allowing this to be led by our people, the program will have. More significant meaning to us. This shows our commitment to the communities we operate and live in.

This initiative focuses on the environmental aspect of our Corporate Social Responsibility strategy. The new initiative will help us leave a positive lasting legacy in the local community. We are still a very long way away from achieving our CSR ambitions, however, this is another positive step in the right direction It also ties in with our effort to be an environmentally friendly business.
